About the Tutor

Hi, I’m Rebecca and I’m so happy you’re here! With one semester left, I am currently finishing up my degree in Elementary Education at the University of Alberta Campus Saint-Jean. I have been tutoring for over five years, focusing primarily on supporting elementary students in French immersion and helping them develop numeracy and literacy skills.

My passion truly is in teaching and helping students find the joy in learning which is why I strive to tailor my teaching to the specific learning needs of my students. I believe in creating good relationships with my students so that I can better help them enjoy learning and become lifelong learners.

If I’m not tutoring, I can usually be found spending time with family and friends, playing board games, traveling, singing or watching movies. My husband and I are also preparing to welcome our first baby this fall, which is keeping us happily busy in our free time!

Although I am currently located in Edmonton, I grew up in Red Deer following the French immersion program all the way to Grade 12 and graduated with a bilingual certificate. As a teacher in training, I am very familiar with the new Alberta curriculum and feel qualified to help students in both French or English programs to develop the skills needed for each grade.
